Collection: Seeds

We do not have seeds available just yet but you just wait! 

So far this year, we've done over 100 cross pollinations to create some beautiful new hybrid sarracenia.  As soon as we've identified the prospective parent plants, we carefully bag each bloom with an organza bag to prevent natural pollinators from having access to the bloom.  then when the time is right and the air is still, we carefully unbag the pollen bloom and collect the pollen with a Q-tip or micro applicator.  That pollen is then placed in a centrifuge tube and labeled, to be given to the bloom we choose as soon as that bloom is ready to receive it. 

We have done some really interesting crosses this year.  Some of the results may be pretty predictable and some were done just to see what would happen with two very different types of sarracenia.  Anyway....check back this fall.  We will have a good selection for you then!
