Size

emarginata x juavamensis is a beautiful ping that is mostly green with a pink blush in the center. This one frequently flowers once mature & tends to split into two plants after flowering!  

• Mature size:1-1½" depending on growing conditions. 

• The ping you will receive will be approximately 1/2-3/4" in diameter for medium. Small plants are under 1/2" in diameter.  

**Please note the first 3 photos show mature plants. The 4th picture is representative of about what you can expect to receive.

Shipping & care

• Your ping will be shipped bare root, carefully wrapped & placed in a condiment cups.

• Place in a bright sunny windowsill or under grow lights to achieve maximum coloration.

• As will all carnivorous plants, only mineral free water should be used, such as rainwater, distilled or RO. In some cases we'll water can be safely used, but only if you've confirmed the TDS is under 50. You can purchase a TDS meter online for under $20.

Pineguicula Care Guide

Instructions

 Care or dormancy info will be the same on most varieties. 

  • In spring & summer, we water using a tray with 1/4"-1/2" of water depending on pot depth. The tray should be allowed to dry between watering, yet the Pinguicula soil should remain damp. 
  • In the wintertime, the carnivorous leaves may be replaced by smaller non-carnivorus succulent leaves. At this time water should be reduced & the soil allowed to dry slightly between watering. If the leaves don't change, continue care as usual.
  • In spring when carnivorous leaves begin to emerge, watering should be increased.
  • Pings will be shipped bare root, carefully wrapped in damp paper towels & placed in a plastic deli cup.
  • Our Pinguicula substrate consists of the following:3 parts peat moss, 4.5 parts pearlite,2 parts course and 2 parts fluval stratum
