Sarracenia “Doreen’s Colossus” x ‘Saurus’

This Sarracenia does not disappoint!  With parents like the two monsters ‘Saurus’ and “Doreen’s Colossus”, you can expect a tall plant with very large hoods.   

“Doreen’s Colossus” is a Flava x Oreophila and was developed by Jerry Addington.  It’s a very aggressive grower and very hardy.   

‘Saurus’ is a hybrid developed by Phil Faulisi and is a S. moorei (s. Leucophylla x flava var. ornate).  It grows to monsterous proportions and sports beautiful deep red coloration. 

So as you can see, the plant that we are offering has the potential to be a real standout in your garden.  Large, robust and an aggressive grower, it is sure to turn heads!   

Details

This plant is a well established division, divided from the main plant last year. It’s currently growing in a 4” pot.  The picture shown is typical of what you can expect to receive.  We will select the best of the plants available with a good robust root system for you.
